PJ's latest Epic saga is indeed being shot on the Epic.  Sixty of them, that is, or 30 3-D rigs.  Check out this teaser.

Afterglow has taken delivery of the titamium Canon EOS mount for Epic.  This opens up a whole new world of options for lightweight, high quality and affordable glass.  The camera supports autofocus and touch-to-focus modes, as well as image stabilized lenses.  It also gives a readout of lens information including focal length, iris and focus distance, all of which are carried through to the metadata in the R3D file.  The mount is easily exchanged for the PL mount in about two minutes.  

Afterglow's standard Canon lens package includes the Canon 24-70 2.8L, the Canon 70-200mm 2.8L mark ii, as well as a 2x extender for the 70-200.  

Since picking up a prototype Red One for Che, Soderbergh has shot 7 feature films on Red One in four years.  He has now moved onto Epic for his two upcoming projects, The Man from Uncle and Liberace.  

This is my latest showreel.  It's a mix of digital formats, but is about 60% shot on Red cameras (both M and MX).

Trailer for upcoming film, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, directed by David Fincher.  This is FIncher's second film shot on Red cameras (after The Social Network), and it was shot on both Red One and Epic, as the latter was in a prototype stage.
